Veterans Day Parade Boston 2010

a few weeks after we moved to boston we decided to get the boston globe delivered daily to our home.
this for me was in a way a reaction to the big information deficit i had experienced since i stopped reading israeli news online, something i have been trying to do even before we left israel. so what do you do in the morning, if there is no newspaper, or online news to read? the book i am reading (on its a rarity thing) is not suited for all hours and moods of the day and so among other reasons we got the globe. the globe is not the best newspaper, and having early work or school hours meant i did not have time to even go through the front page and tess for some reason did not take much interest in it either (there should be a separate post about how the boston globe is a really boring newspaper with awful printing...) and it would be just left in tis bag or not even brought upstairs.
in the wake of the transition, tess had helped me open a facebook business account for a project i am trying to run. this led to the facebook page being open constantly on my browser as it was an important contact with clients. this business aspect of it faded soon thereafter. it was now just open and i would go over the latest post of the "friends" of my business. spending time to actually look at what poeple do there and follow links, spy on the occasional friend i have not heard from in years and your average voyeurism. but the truth is that i fucking hate it. i dont want to be a part of it, i never did, and today i realized that i was participating in it just as if i was really a person there.
i closed the facebook tab.
fuck, i am such a looser.
