almost 3 months have passed since this post and only now did i have a chance to scan these negatives.
its a funny thing that not a week after i met this guy with his corvair while going through yard sales, we went to a huge yard sale in Seekonk, where hundreds of people flock a big grass patch and have a humongous yard sale with anything and everything you can imagine one would sell and a few others things you cant even imagine. among all that crap and shit, just sitting there, between a bunch of star trek memorabilia, were these 2 shiny chrome hubcaps off a chevy corvair. this was a nice closure to the story, too bad it only materialized as a post so much later. for what its worth. a car with a trunk where the engine should be, and a chrome plated flat, air cooled engine where the trunk should be. this guy loves it, and says since its a 67' its much safer then the other ones (and that being said, i doubt it is safe at all even if it is much safer then a very not so safe car), just make sure you don't buy one o'dem TURBO corvairs... they dont tend to last as long....
